"... para entender as estrelas"( “...to understand the stars”) is the second and most recent cd of the carioca singer Claudia Amorim. This record produced by Renato Piau and Di Steffano and released by the label Guitarra Brasileira brings 11 tracks with the best of bossa nova and of the genuine brazilian music. Chico Buarque, Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, Guilherme Arantes e Geraldo Azevedo are some of the icons that inspires this work, as well as the newer composers such as Renato Piau and Manasses Campos.
With mild and clean arrangements, this cd presents a sofisticated finish accomplished by the impeccable acoustic instrumental: piano, acoustic bass guitar, drums, guitar, flute, cello and accordion. The result is an essencially brazilian sound.
"... to understand the stars" reveals a singer who gets better everyday, who bets in the gentleness and cleanness of her voice. She believes in the strength of the brazilian music and its composers.
The show "... to understand the stars" is based on the new cd but has an instrumental formation founded on the guitars of Renato Piau and Perinho Santana.
Claudia Amorim has performed with some great names of the brazilian music such as Danilo Caymmi, Geraldo Azevedo, Quarteto em Cy, Luli e Luciana, Rui Faria, Luis Claudio Ramos, Wilson das Neves, Milton Guedes e Delia Fischer.
